In July and August 2026, we will open Museum Island as well as the Gottorf Globe and Baroque Garden one hour earlier for you, from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The bookable offers for school classes can also be booked from Tuesday to Sunday from 9 a.m. onwards by prior arrangement. Please contact our visitor service.

Day Ticket Rebecca Louise Law
• One-time, same-day admission to Rebecca Louise Law’s special exhibition (More...) in the Reithalle at Gottorf Castle and the Gottorf Globe. The ticket also grants access to the archaeological exhibition in the Nydam Hall (More...).

• Landesmuseen Schleswig-Holstein present works by the artist Rebecca Louise Law on the museum island in Schleswig, at the Gottorf Globe House in Schleswig, at the Molfsee Open-Air Museum, and at the Jewish Museum in Rendsburg (MORE…). The ticket grants one-time access to the exhibition at each of the four locations.

Day-Ticket Nydam Boat
• The famous Nydam boat (MORE...) dates back to the Iron Age. The stars of Gottorf archaeology also belong to this period: the bog bodies. However, these are currently not on display at Gottorf Castle, but at the Danish Museum Silkeborg (MORE…). Upon presenting a Gottorf ticket, you will receive free admission to Museum Silkeborg.

In general, the following applies to our admission prices:
● Reduced admission applies to school pupils, trainees, students, people with severe disabilities, recipients of unemployment benefits (ALG II), and those performing voluntary service – each with valid identification.
● Family ticket: Two adults with children aged 7–17 years.
● Children up to and including 6 years of age are admitted free of charge.
Castle Renovation
Gottorf Castle is closed due to renovation and modernization work. The Museum Island remains open. CONTINUE…
Café
The large castle café, located in the castle basement, is open for you Tuesday–Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is operated by Schleswiger Werkstätten and offers coffee and cold drinks, cakes, and snacks.
